Southwest Baptist University is seeking comments from the public regarding the initial site visit of the Pre-licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing program on the Bolivar campus.

For the first time in Southwest Baptist University History Bowl history, two homeschool teams competed, with one of the teams taking home the top prize in its division in the seventh annual event held Feb. 27 on the Bolivar campus.

Alumni and supporters of Drury and Southwest Baptist universities raised a combined $32,542.50 during the second-annual Highway 13 CatFight Giving Challenge. SBU came out on top in the friendly competition, raising $18,955 to Drury's $13,587.50.
Southwest Baptist University honored employees with employment anniversary milestones, beginning with five years, during the annual employee Christmas banquet Dec. 10. The employees recognized have given a total of 710 years of service to SBU.
Southwest Baptist University's Dr. Bob Glasgow, professor of mathematics, Ms. Alex Archer, instructor of mathematics, and Becca Altic, senior mathematics major from Pleasant Hope, recently presented at the Fall Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics Conference in Columbia.
The Southwest Baptist University Showcase Singers will present "Rock Around the Clock!!" at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 30, in the Meyer Recital Hall of Casebolt Music Center on the Bolivar campus.

Southwest Baptist University student Spencer Smith, a senior mathematics and computer science double major from Springfield, Mo., presented a talk at the Eleventh MAKO Undergraduate Math Research Conference held Saturday, Nov. 14, at Missouri State University.

Southwest Baptist University is set to graduate 204 students at two winter 2018 commencement ceremonies. The SBU Mercy College of Nursing and Health Sciences will hold winter commencement at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, and the ceremony for all other graduates is at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14. Both ceremonies will be held in the Jane and Ken Meyer Wellness and Sports Center.
