SBU's Bolivar campus opening delayed by 1 1/2 hours Tuesday, November 12, 2019

Southwest Baptist University's Bolivar campus will delay opening by 1 1/2 hours Tuesday, Nov. 12, due to inclement weather.

Over the past year, your alma mater has been embroiled in a denominational controversy that has made national headlines. Challenges to the University's commitment to kingdom work and theological integrity have been the primary focus. Nevertheless, I view these challenges as opportunities to clarify who we are and always have been as a university.

SBU partners with Culver-Stockton, Truman STate for master in athletic training degree

Future Southwest Baptist University sports medicine graduates will have the opportunity to pursue a master of athletic training degree, thanks to recent partnerships developed with both Culver-Stockton College in Canton, and Truman State University in Kirksville.

SBU hosts dedication ceremony for Randolph Chapel, amphitheater, garden

Southwest Baptist University hosted a dedication ceremony for the renovated Lloyd & Frances Randolph Meditation Chapel and Clement Amphitheatre & Prayer Garden on Thursday, May 9 on the Bolivar campus.

SBU recognizes Bailey as Miller Accounting Chair

Sharla Bailey was installed as an academic chair during Southwest Baptist University's academic chair installation ceremony Wednesday, Nov. 6 in Rohrs Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.

SBU Theatre opens 2019-2020 season with "Steel Magnolias"

The Southwest Baptist University Theatre program opens the 2019-2020 season with the timeless play "Steel Magnolias," written by American playwright Robert Harling. The show will be presented at 7 p.m. Sept. 26-28 in the Davis-Newport Theater on the Bolivar campus.

SBU announces Fall 2019 Chapel schedule

Southwest Baptist University welcomes students, employees and the community to Fall semester Chapel services, which take place weekly at 10 a.m. on campus in Pike Auditorium beginning Wednesday, Aug. 19 through Wednesday, Dec. 9. The focus for the Fall semester is "KNOWING: What we believe and why it matters."

SBU Concert, Bolivar Community choirs to present Spring concert

The Southwest Baptist University Concert Choir and Bolivar Community Choir will present a concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.
