Southwest Baptist University will hold a grand opening for the Judy Taylor Physical Therapy Garden and the Warren B. Davis Family Physical Therapy Center Faculty Practice from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6 at 2103 S. Springfield Ave., Bolivar.

Southwest Baptist University students have nominated five seniors as candidates for Homecoming Queen - and, new this year, five candidates for Homecoming King. These candidates have been selected by their peers and the winning King and Queen will be announced at the homecoming football game at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1.
As part of Southwest Baptist University's efforts to accomplish the strategic focus of the University, President Eric A. Turner announced changes in a select number of job titles and duties, effective Nov. 1, 2018.

Levi Bridge, instructor of business administration at Southwest Baptist University, was selected as director of the SBU Master of Business Administration program, effective June 1, 2016.
Southwest Baptist University's Department of Computer and Information Science hosted school administrators and counselors from 19 area school districts for a workshop conducted by a regional partner of Code.org, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to computer science education.

Southwest Baptist University junior Rebecca Altic was recently recognized as one of three nominees for the first MCTM Outstanding Pre-Service Teacher of Missouri Award.

Southwest Baptist University student Kala Svendsen of Everton was honored by the SBU University Libraries as the Outstanding Student Assistant of the Month for April 2017.
Southwest Baptist University honored employees with employment anniversary milestones, beginning with five years, during the annual employee Christmas banquet Dec. 7. The employees recognized have given a total of 630 years of service to SBU.
