SBU's Behavioral Sciences hosts psychology conference

Southwest Baptist University's Department of Behavioral Sciences hosted the Midwest Christian Psychology Conference on Dec. 1 on the Bolivar campus. The department hosted approximately 100 participants from SBU, John Brown University, Evangel University, College of the Ozarks, Hannibal-LaGrange University and MidAmerica Nazarene University.

SBU to hold commencement ceremonies May 18 and 20

Nearly 550 students will graduate from Southwest Baptist University during three commencement ceremonies -- one held Thursday, May 18, in Springfield and two held Saturday, May 20, in Bolivar.

SBU breaks ground on project to renovate, expand Taylor Center

Southwest Baptist University broke ground Friday, Dec. 18, on the project to expand and renovate the Bolivar campus' Gene Taylor National Free Enterprise Center, which houses the Robert W. Plaster College of Business and Computer Science and the department of history and political science.

SBU student presents research at MAKO conference

Southwest Baptist University student Julie Anne Bowman, a mathematics major from Franklin, N.C., presented a talk at the 12th MAKO Undergraduate Math Research Conference held Saturday, Nov. 12, at Missouri State University.

SBU trustees affirm Baptist Faith and Message 2000

During a special session of the Southwest Baptist University Board of Trustees on Jan. 22, the Board voted to affirm its longstanding commitment to traditional Baptist theology, including the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

Drawing held in celebration of SBU-Mountain View campus

As an incentive to boost attendance and enrollment on the Southwest Baptist University-Mountain View campus, a drawing for prizes was held at the end of the 2016 fall semester as part of the campus' 30th anniversary.

SBU inducts students into Alpha Chi Honor Society

Nearly 40 Southwest Baptist University students were inducted into the Missouri Gamma Chapter of Alpha Chi Honor Society April 6.
