A team of graduating seniors from Southwest Baptist University recently worked with Missouri Lieutenant Governor Mike Parson's office to develop a website to enhance his "Buy Missouri" initiative.

Southwest Baptist University student Victoria Black came in fourth at the 33rd Annual Japanese Language Speech Contest, which was held March 23 in Chicago.

The Southwest Baptist University Concert Choir and Bolivar Community Choir will present a world music concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, in Pike Auditorium on the SBU campus.
Southwest Baptist University welcomes students, staff and the community to Fall semester Chapel services, which take place weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in Pike Auditorium beginning Monday, Aug. 20 through Wednesday, Dec. 5. The focus for the coming school year is "Connecting Points: Celebrating the Spiritual Disciplines."
The recipient for the Integrity Tax & Accounting Excellence in Accounting scholarship, which benefits top Southwest Baptist University accounting students, has been selected by the accounting department faculty.

Southwest Baptist University's annual Church Music Workshop will be held Thursday, Feb. 4 through Saturday, Feb. 6. The event features speaker sessions, workshops, master classes and performances to help attendees learn more about church music and enhance their musical performance skills.
The Southwest Baptist University Concert Choir and the Bolivar Community Choir will be joined by the Ozark High School Varsity Singers as they present "For a Breath of Ecstasy" by Michael John Trotta at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.

About 260 students from southwest Missouri elementary and intermediate schools gathered at Southwest Baptist University on April 8 for the Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) Southwest Regional Competition hosted by the SBU Department of Mathematics.
