Ellen Rose Douglas Roweton of Bolivar, and Thomas B. Welch '78, of Victoria, Minn., will receive honorary doctorates from Southwest Baptist University during the annual Founders' Day chapel service at 10 a.m. Monday, March 5, in Pike Auditorium. SBU awards honorary doctorates to recognize outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to society and to kingdom work.
The Department of Music of Southwest Baptist University will present "Frostiana" and "A Song of Moses," at its annual Masterworks Concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 5 in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.
Southwest Baptist University's board of trustees approved the addition of a master of arts in Christian ministry degree during the board's Oct. 18 meeting. In addition, three donors were selected for induction into the Philanthropy Hall of Fame.

Southwest Baptist University will host an Art Faculty Show from Sept. 19 through Oct. 7 at the Driskill Art Gallery on the Bolivar campus.
Southwest Baptist University will host the annual Homecoming parade at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 23. Local businesses and organizations are invited to have a float in the parade.
