SBU President outlines strategic planning timeline

Southwest Baptist University President Dr. Eric A. Turner told the University's Board of Trustees during its meeting Tuesday, Oct. 16, to expect a finalized strategic plan by the October 2019 board meeting.

SBU's Glasgow honored with lifetime achievement award

Southwest Baptist University's Dr. Bob Glasgow, professor of mathematics, was presented with the Leroy Sachs Award for lifetime achievement (or contribution) on Nov. 30 at the Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics Fall Conference in Columbia.

SBU library to host second annual Comic Con

Southwest Baptist University's Harriett K. Hutchins Library will present its second annual Comic Con from noon-6 p.m., Saturday, March 4, on the Bolivar campus.

"Keep Hope Alive," a children's book written and illustrated by Kurt Caddy, is a story of vision, courage, sacrifice and, of course - hope.

SBU FBLA-PBL has 15 students qualify for national competition

Southwest Baptist University's Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda organization will have 15 students participating in the PBL National Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Ga., June 24-27. These students qualified for nationals based on their performances at the state-level competition.

Josh Johnson of Raymore receives SBU Library award

Southwest Baptist University student Josh Johnson of Raymore, Mo., was honored by the SBU University Libraries as the Outstanding Student Assistant of the Month for February 2016.

SBU Honors Program students present Capstone projects

Six students in Southwest Baptist University's Gordon & Judy Dutile Honors Program presented their Senior Honors Capstone Experience projects during an open house Dec. 5. Students are admitted to the Honors Program before their freshman year through a competitive process. The program includes nine honors-specific courses designed to provide scholastic enrichment and opportunities for practical application and professional development.

SBU Art Students to Present Scholarship Show

Southwest Baptist University art students will be presenting a scholarship show from Monday, Jan. 30 through Saturday, Feb. 18 in the Driskill Art Gallery on the Bolivar campus.
