SBU Chorale to present concert on March 26

The Chorale of Southwest Baptist University will be in concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, at First Baptist Church of Bolivar.

SBU awards honorary doctorates to Bryant, Clemmons

John A. Bryant '61 of Bolivar, and Charles E. Clemmons, Jr. '59 of Seabrook, Texas, received Honorary Doctor degrees from Southwest Baptist University during the annual Founders' Day chapel service held Monday, March 6, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.

Delta Mu Delta names SBU regional scholarship recipient

Delta Mu Delta, the International Honor Society in Business, has selected a student from Southwest Baptist University for its Regional Award for the 2017-2018 academic year.

SBU Theatre presents "The Importance of Being Earnest" on Nov. 8-10

The Southwest Baptist University Theatre program will present "The Importance of Being Earnest," by Oscar Wilde, at 7 p.m. Nov. 8-10 in the Davis-Newport Theater on the Bolivar campus.

SBU's Charlie Hungerford earns professional award

Charlie Hungerford, director of admissions at Mercy College of Nursing and Health Sciences of Southwest Baptist University, was recognized with the President's Service Recognition Award from the Missouri Association for College Admission Counseling (MOACAC) at the organization's annual conference.

SBU debuts new art show, will host artist reception

Southwest Baptist University's sixth exhibition of the 2015-2016 academic year features artwork by local photographer Jessica King and Kansas-based painter Matthew Thonen. The exhibition debuts Monday, Feb. 22, and runs until Friday, March 18.

Organizations welcome at SBU Volunteer Fair

The social work program at Southwest Baptist University will host a campus-wide Volunteer Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 29, in the Goodson Student Union on SBU's Bolivar campus.

SBU Computer and Information Sciences department advisory board meets

Southwest Baptist University's 2016 Computer and Information Sciences (CIS) Department Advisory Board met Friday, Feb.19, in conjunction with the Robert W. Plaster College of Business and Computer Science Spring Career Fair attended by Accenture, American National Insurance, Digital Monitoring Products, Inter-State Studios, the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank, Bass Pro, O'Reilly Automotive, Intrinsiq Software, Classy Llama, AG Financial, Citizens Memorial Hospital, Health Medx, Jack Henry & Associates, CSG Solutions and Leggett & Platt.
