SBU's Johnson selected to serve on CIAO Commission

Dr. Brad Johnson, vice president for university relations at Southwest Baptist University, has been appointed to serve on the Chief Institutional Advancement Officer Commission of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities.

SBU Bolivar undergraduate commencement moves indoors

The undergraduate commencement ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 20, at Southwest Baptist University will be held in the Meyer Wellness and Sports Center.

Almeida, Rose crowned Mr. and Miss Southwest

Joao Vitor Silva de Almeida, an exercise science major from Campo Grande, Brazil, and Tali Rose, a social work major from Gainesville, Mo., won the titles of Mr. and Miss Southwest at the annual pageant on Friday, March 2, at Southwest Baptist University.

Speaking Bearcats bring home another tournament title

The Southwest Baptist University Speaking Bearcats captured the overall sweepstakes award at the Scott Jensen Gorlok Gala Tournament on Jan. 26-28, hosted by Webster University in St. Louis.

Exhibit to feature photography of SBU adjunct professor

Southwest Baptist University will host an artist exhibit featuring the photography of Steven Brown from Nov. 7-18 at the Driskill Art Gallery on the Bolivar campus.

SBU commissions peer assessment committee

Southwest Baptist University has commissioned an external peer assessment committee that will lead a University-wide dialogue regarding faith and learning. Included within this assessment will be deeper conversations and evaluations regarding orthodoxy.

SBU's Randolph passes CMA exam

Southwest Baptist University senior Matthew Randolph of Lebanon, Mo., recently passed both parts of the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exam. CMA certification is a professional credential that can be earned in the advanced management accounting and financial management fields.

SBU Theatre to present "Medea" on March 8-10

Southwest Baptist University's theatre department will present the ancient Greek tragedy "Medea" by Euripides at 7 p.m., March 8-10 in the Davis-Newport Theater on the Bolivar campus.
