SBU to feature works of artist Karla Trammell

Southwest Baptist University will host a visiting artist exhibit, featuring award-winning artist Karla Breeding Trammell through Nov. 4 at the Driskill Art Gallery on the Bolivar campus. In addition to the exhibit, a reception for Trammell will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at the gallery.

SBU, Enactus USA honor Rohrs with tree dedication

Southwest Baptist University joined with Enactus USA to pay tribute to recently retired Enactus CEO and 1979 SBU graduate Dr. Alvin Rohrs at a tree dedication ceremony Monday, Oct. 31, on the Bolivar campus.

SBU Chorale to present concert on March 27

The Chorale of Southwest Baptist University will be in concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.

Speaking Bearcats named overall champion at tournaments

The Southwest Baptist University Speaking Bearcats opened the 2018-2019 traveling season by being crowned the overall champion at the Missouri Mule/Dale Carnegie Swing speech and debate tournaments Oct. 19-21, hosted by the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg.

Alumni awards presented at SBU Honors Chapel

Five Southwest Baptist University alumni were honored with special awards in recognition of living lives of service at Honors Chapel on Friday, Sept. 28. The event marks the beginning of Homecoming festivities and also featured the presentation of the 2018 Homecoming court.

SBU's Clark is 2017 MMS Blue Chip award recipient

Southwest Baptist University's Wayne Clark, assistant professor of accounting, received the MMS Blue Chip award, presented at "The Circle of Impacting Ministry" workshop on March 2, on the Bolivar campus.

SBU seeking floats for Homecoming parade

Southwest Baptist University will host the annual Homecoming parade at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1. Local businesses and organizations are invited to have a float in the parade.

Speaking Bearcats dominate in Fall season finale

The Southwest Baptist University Speaking Bearcats finished the fall portion of their season with a dominating performance at the Cameron Christmas Classic on Dec. 1-2 at Cameron University in Lawton, Okla. The Speaking Bearcats finished first in overall sweepstakes, second in debate sweepstakes and first in individual events sweepstakes.
