Caleb Rutledge and Hannah King were announced as the 2018 Southwest Baptist University Homecoming King and Queen at halftime of the Bearcats' football game against Missouri S&T on Sept. 29.
Ninety-eight undergraduate students graduated from Southwest Baptist University during commencement Friday, Dec. 16, at the Jane and Ken Meyer Wellness and Sports Center on the Bolivar campus. The University holds graduation twice a year, in December and May.
Homecoming festivities at Southwest Baptist University will begin with Honors Chapel at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, in Pike Auditorium, when five alumni will be recognized for living lives of service.

The Southwest Baptist University's departments of theatre and art will present a student-devised piece "Inter(actions): Stories of Love and Loss" at 7 p.m., April 20-22, in the Davis-Newport Theatre on the Bolivar campus.

Brittany Earl was awarded the Center for Global Connection's Nations Award at Southwest Baptist University's chapel service on Sept. 19.
Southwest Baptist University has selected the "little sisters" - and, new this year, "little brothers" - for Homecoming 2016. Each child will escort a king and queen or prince and princess candidate during the Homecoming parade at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 1. The "little sisters" and "little brothers" are grandchildren or children of SBU employees.

The Barnett-Padgett Literary Artist Series of Southwest Baptist University will be presenting poet Aaron Belz in a reading of his work at 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 28, in Rohrs Auditorium of the Taylor Center on the Bolivar campus.
The Southwest Baptist University Concert Choir and Bolivar Community Chorus will present their Spring concert, which is free and open to the public, at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.
