Southwest Baptist University-Mountain View scholarship recipients have been announced for the 2017-18 academic year.

Rebekah Wright, assistant director for digital marketing, and Dr. Steve Bowling, associate professor of mathematics, received the Staff and Faculty Life Beautiful Awards during the annual employee Christmas banquet Dec. 7 at Southwest Baptist University.

The Barnett-Padgett Literary Artist Series of Southwest Baptist University will be presenting poet Jennifer Maier in a reading of her works at 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 22, in Meyer Recital Hall on the Bolivar campus.
Southwest Baptist University received the Large Business of the Year award from the Bolivar Area Chamber of Commerce on Nov. 5.

Southwest Baptist University's Center for Global Connections honored two recipients with its annual Nations Award during the Global Connections Week Chapel service on Monday, Sept. 10.

Mercy College of Nursing and Health Sciences of Southwest Baptist University is seeking comments from the public about the focused site visit of the ASN program at the Springfield campus. The Missouri State Board of Nursing will conduct a site visit April 27, 2017.
