SBU Enactus places in top 12 at nationals

Southwest Baptist University Enactus finished in the top 12 in the Enactus U.S. National Exposition held May 20-22 at the Kansas City Convention Center.

SBU places first at computer programming competition

Southwest Baptist University's top competitive programming team came out on top at the Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges (CCSC) Central Plains Region Programming Contest on Saturday, April 2, at Missouri Western State University.

SBU honors Campbell, Steiert with Life Beautiful Awards

Lena Campbell, housekeeper, and Paula Steiert, instructor of health sciences, received the Staff and Faculty Life Beautiful Awards during the annual employee Christmas banquet Dec. 6 at Southwest Baptist University.

The Southwest Baptist University Music Department will present an evening of chamber music at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, in Meyer Recital Hall in the Casebolt Music Center.

SBU art show features graduating art majors

Southwest Baptist University's final exhibition of the 2015-2016 academic year features artwork by senior SBU art department majors graduating this May. The show debuts April 18 and runs through May 14. An artist reception will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14.

SBU team tops among Missouri undergrad-only computing programs

Southwest Baptist University's Department of Computer and Information Sciences (CIS) Competitive Programming teams took top honors among Missouri undergraduate-only computing programs recently at the IBM-sponsored Mid-Central Region International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC).

SBU Speaking Bearcats continue winning ways

The Southwest Baptist University Speaking Bearcats dominated the field, sweeping all three sweepstakes categories (debate, speech and combined) at the Cameron University tournament on Dec. 2-3, in Lawton, Okla.
