The Southwest Baptist University Jazz Ensemble will be featured in its spring concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, in Pike Auditorium on the Bolivar campus.

Led by Gabe Craig, a senior chemistry education and intercultural studies major from Park Hills, Mo., the SBU Disaster Relief team of Sara McDonald, Hannah Gibbs, Jacob Showers and Haden Liska spent their Thanksgiving break in Bristol, Fla., helping residents clean up after Hurricane Michael, which ravaged the Florida panhandle in October.

Southwest Baptist University student Rebekah Kromrie of Lebanon, Mo., was honored by the SBU University Libraries as the Outstanding Student Assistant of the Month for February 2019.
For the fifth time in six years, the Southwest Baptist University Speaking Bearcats are state champions after capturing the Overall Sweepstakes in the open division of the Missouri Association of Forensics Activities Championship held Feb. 16-17 at Truman State University in Kirksville.

Southwest Baptist University will be hosting "The Circle of Impacting Ministry" workshop, presented by Glenn Miller, CEO of the Miller Management Systems, LLC, from 6-7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 2, in Room 101 of the Wheeler Science Building on the Bolivar campus.
