The Peer Assessment Committee, led by Dr. David Dockery, chancellor of Trinity International University, has completed its review of Southwest Baptist University's integration of faith, learning and doctrine.

Southwest Baptist University's fourth exhibition of the 2015-2016 academic year features artwork by senior SBU art department majors graduating this December. The show debuts Monday, Nov. 16, and runs through Friday, Dec. 18.

Southwest Baptist University graduated 204 students at two winter 2018 commencement ceremonies in the Jane and Ken Meyer Wellness and Sports Center on the Bolivar campus.

Southwest Baptist University Enactus recently competed in the Enactus U.S. National Exposition, finishing in the top 32 at the Kansas City Convention Center.
Southwest Baptist University's Opera Theatre will present "Fairytale and Fantasy" at 3 p.m. Friday, April 20, in Meyer Recital Hall.

Angela Brown-Peterson and Dr. Timothy L. Wood were installed as academic chairs at Southwest Baptist University's annual convocation Wednesday, Aug. 24. "An academic chair is supported by an endowed fund that is permanently invested for a faculty member in a specific academic discipline," SBU President C. Pat Taylor, Ed.D., said. "In higher education, it is an honor to hold an endowed academic chair."

Southwest Baptist University continues the tradition of honoring one male and one female student each year at the annual Mr. and Miss Southwest Pageant, which takes place this year at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 3, in Pike Auditorium on the SBU campus.
