SBU professors participate in AP reading

Four professors from Southwest Baptist University were selected to participate in the 2016 College Board Annual AP Reading in June at the Kansas City Convention Center.

SBU's DPT, BSW programs partner to enhance students' learning, expand community services

Southwest Baptist University's Student Association and Student Life are teaming up to host "C. Pat Legacy Day" - in honor of SBU President Dr. C. Pat Taylor and his late wife, Judy - on April 28 on the Bolivar campus.

Nine students in Southwest Baptist University's Gordon & Judy Dutile Honors Program presented their Senior Honors Capstone Experience projects during an open house May 5.

SBU students honored at Kennedy Center Theatre Festival

Bethany Vermillion selected to participate in national festival Southwest Baptist University theatre students recently were honored at the 50th annual Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, which celebrates work by colleges and universities in the eight-state region during 2017, on Jan. 21-27 in Des Moines, Iowa.

SBU wins fourth-annual CatFight Giving Challenge

Alumni and supporters of Drury and Southwest Baptist universities, as well as current SBU students, raised a combined $191,941 during the fourth-annual CatFight Giving Challenge, which helps raise money for each school's annual fund.

SBU Board of Trustees affirms strategic planning progress

Southwest Baptist University's Board of Trustees voted to affirm a status update on the progress of the University's strategic planning process that was presented to the Board during its April 16 meeting.

More than 200 students to graduate at SBU winter commencement ceremonies

Southwest Baptist University is set to graduate 214 students at two winter 2016 commencement ceremonies. The Bolivar campus will hold commencement at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, in the Jane and Ken Meyer Wellness and Sports Center.
