SBU to hold online commencement ceremonies May 16

Nearly 530 students will graduate from Southwest Baptist University's four campuses during three online commencement ceremonies to be held Saturday, May 16. SBU will broadcast its Spring ceremonies online at 10 a.m. to honor the 103 associate, 217 bachelor and 210 graduate degree recipients.

SBU names Kimbrough Assistant Provost for Spiritual Formation

Dr. Matt Kimbrough will lead spiritual development programs at Southwest Baptist University through a new position of Assistant Provost for Spiritual Formation in addition to being an Assistant Professor of Theology.

SBU nursing programs granted continued accreditation

Southwest Baptist University has received notification that its nursing programs have been granted continued accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.

SBU faculty piano recital to be held Feb. 27

The Southwest Baptist University Department of Music will present a faculty piano recital at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 27, in Meyer Recital Hall on the Bolivar campus.

SBU adopts strategic changes for future sustainability while enhancing mission

Southwest Baptist University President Dr. Eric A. Turner presented to employees on June 2 the University Sustainability Plan designed to guide the University through current and future disruptions to higher education.
