Southwest Baptist University's Dr. Bethany Wood, assistant professor of theatre, recently had her book - "Women Adapting: Bringing Three Serials of the Roaring Twenties to Stage and Screen (Studies in Theatre History and Culture)" - published by University of Iowa Press.

Southwest Baptist University Assistant Director of Safety and Security Emily Raymond recently passed the exam to obtain the Certified Protection Officer (CPO) designation through the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO).

The Southwest Baptist University Speaking Bearcats opened their 2019-2020 traveling season with a pair of overall sweepstakes victories in the Missouri Mule/Dale Carnegie swing tournament on Oct. 18 and 20, and the Cowtown Classic on Oct. 25-26.
The 40th annual Festival of Christmas, sponsored by Southwest Baptist University and Community Outreach Ministries, will be presented at 6 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 8, in Mabee Chapel on SBU's Bolivar campus.
